I'm back here again to introduce you girls a new item!

It's said to be a makeup that women will take to if she were to leave her country and stay on a deserted island. (:

Guess what brand is my favourite mascara?

IT'S THE WONDERFUL FIBERWIG MASCARA!

(BEST SELLING MASCARA IN JAPAN)

I was actually intending to window shop that day at Causeway Point and so as usual, I walked into John Little to check out if they have new items up for promotion.

I stepped in and I saw the mascara;

it's in a red tube and it says has the ability to extend your lashes till lengths like those fake ones.

Feeling doubtful, I reached out for the brochure and see if it reeeaaallyy can convince me to get it.

(I WASNT SUPPOSED TO SPEND OKAY. ): )

Reading reading reading and I realised - OH SHIT.

I'm so gonna get it! :D

To re-confirm whether I should make the purchase or not, I approached the salesgirl and asked if there's a sample.

I twisted the tube and I saw the brush.

IMMEDIATELY I KNEW I HAD TO GET IT.

WHY, YOU ASK ME.

Damn, the bristles on the brush is already tempting I tell you!

They are really spreaded apart and the bristles are strong and firm, not like those mascara brushes which their bristles are like all clumped up together. (urgh!)

Yep so I bought it!

I tried it on the very next day and girls, I SWEAR IT IS THE MASCARA FROM HEAVEN!

(I know I've said it countless of times that items are from heaven but you gotta trust me kay, they are superb!)

I used my primer mascara before the fiberwig mascara to double up the effect.

(If you have no idea what is primer mascara try searching it in my blog's search engine or try the archives : July 2008 (Exact date July 16th 2008).

I don't have pictures to prove before and after effect but it is really great because :

1) It does not clump your lashes together because of the bristles on the mascara brush; they are spreaded far apart like what I have mentioned earlier.

2) It have real fibres in the mascara to lengthen your eyelashes, thus after the application of the mascara, it does look like you have reeeaaallly long eyelashes!

3) It does not drop mascara flakes around your eyes! (AH I LOVE THIS MAN!)

4) It is easily removable with a little bit of NORMAL MAKEUP REMOVER and warm water. :D
(100% smudgeproof though)

5) It is great even for contact lens wearers like me! :D

Hi girls.

Yesterday I received another package from Fr3b!
I ordered 3 samples of bb cream, which are BRTC GOLD CAVIER BB CREAM, BRTC WHITENING AND WRINKLE REPAIR BB CREAM & LASTLY LOTREE BB CREAM respectively!

I was really surprised to see that the Lotree bb cream sample is a rather big tube which I reckon can last me for up till 25 to 30 uses!
Comparing with the sample size, BRTC and LIOELE SAMPLES lost a lot to LOTREE.

What was sent to me by FR3B.

Here to share another review from me, about CLEAR SHAMPOO.

You girls know the shampoo that Rain, the Korean star advertised for?

YEP, THAT SHAMPOO.

I admit I was dumb enough to be "duped" by the advertisement to buy it.
- it was damn tempting okay!

Bought it and well, I didnt like it, at all.

WHY?
- It caused a rather shocking amount of hairfall to my hair. (I'm not bald yet; if you are feeling gleeful seeing this.)

But surprisingly, it does help to control dandruff, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS HEAD&SHOULDERS.

I really regretted buying this, because when I combed my hair I can see very clearly that my hair is really falling.
And you know, they made me feel so confident I bought the whole big tub, I havent use finish from last year till now.

YES, LAST YEAR.

This is a rather short review, but I'm just here to let you girls know cos just now when I was watching teevee I saw another advertisement on CLEAR SHAMPOO again.

(and yes, it was hell tempting.)

Hi girls.

I've "koped" some of the LIOELE BB CREAM from my mum and tried it!

So here I am, with my review!

Okay, here are my ratings for this bb cream.

Blendibility : ****
Coverage : ***.5
Oil-Control : ***
Texture : **

Personally, I think that this bb cream have a rather decent ability in coverage, so I rated it 3.5 stars.
Blendibility wise is very good, it blends into my skin well in around 30 secs.
Even better after I dusted on some loose powder. :D

Oil-control wise is alright only, but at the end of the day it leaves a rather dewy effect on my face, and I LOVE IT!
:D

Texture wise, I must say it's rather disappointing.
Although it is really easy to apply, but unlike any other bb creams I have tried before, it didnt give me the smooth texture i liked.

It is really sticky at the end of the day, and I hate that feeling, especially when I need to scratch my face when it's itchy or what-so-ever.

As I have tried even better bb creams before, this bb cream is not one of my favourite, and I will not purchase it.

However, it is a good bb cream for starters.

Should you girls are interested in trying out the Lioele bb cream, you girls can try signing up for an account on FR3B(the web i introduced in my last entry) and grab a sample of it.

Each sample can last up to around 4 or 5 applications.

Also, if u girls are looking for a bb cream that is average and it's price is not too steep, LIOELE BB CREAM is a good alternative.

I went to Plaza Singapura last week, and I saw this mini Lioele bb cream tube selling at like $8 at John Little?

[I still prefer SKINFOOD'S ALOE SUN BB CREAM most. Best bb cream of all the ones that I have tried!

I have something to introduce to you girls today!

it is the Shiseido - Blackhead Removal Mask!

The SHISEIDO Vital Perfection Mineral Mud Blackhead Removal Mask is highly effective at reducing and removing black heads. At the same time, it helps in tightening the skin and reducing enlarged pore size . It is easily absorbed into the skin and quickly removes black heads, resulting in clean, clear, and revitalized skin.

Instructions: After cleansing, gently spread and apply evenly over cleansed, dry face, avoiding the eyes, lips, and eye brows. After the mask has dried (approximately 30mins), peel off from the outer edges upwards towards the centre gently. Then apply your usual toner and moisturiser. This can be used on the whole face or on the nose area only if you like. 2-3 times a week is sufficient.

Volume: 12 ml

Made in Tokyo, Japan.

I bought and tried them and it really helped to remove blackheads!

How to use the mask?
(1) Wash your face with a facial foam!
(2) Put your face over a large bowl of very hot water for the steam to open up your pores.
(3)Dry your face, then apply the mask with ur finger tips on blackhead prone areas on ur face. (Avoid applying the mask on hairlines,around your eyes,around your lips and around ur eyebrows.)
(4)Leave the mask on for 20 to 30 mins or till it dries up and when u feel that ur skin is tight when u try to smile, etc. (:
(5) When it is dry, peel it off slowly and you might be able to see tiny white stuff on the mask. (those are blackheads!)
(6) After removing the mask completely, apply toner to close your pores again to avoid having big and unsightly pores!

And you're done! :D

It's quite cheap per piece, and each piece, if apply on the whole of ur face, can use up to two applications.
For application on your nose, each piece can use up to 4 or 5 times. (:

i got one, and it's something like this.

it has a on/off button, and it heats up in less than a minute.
the effects are great!
when i straighten/curl my hair, it stays on till the end of the day till when i wash my hair!

although the one i have is more for straightening my hair, it does helps to curl my hair too, when i curl it, but it will take some time to do so.
alot of patience and skill is needed there. (:

whatever it is, this is the tool that if i go on a holiday, i will NEVER EVER FORGET TO BRING.

I have dry lips, but not to the extent of chapped and dry lips.
have you girls got them?

I hate it when my lips are freakin' dry, especially when I'm in an air-conditioned place and it will get worse.
I knew this had to stop, so i googled online and I found THIS.

today's post is about dressing, again!

bear with me if u have had enough with these alright!
but today, i am gg to talk about people who follow fashion blindly.

i will categorise different items here, about who can wear it, who cannot and why shouldnt u just follow the trend blindly.
here goes..

No. 1 THE VERY "IN" GLADIATOR SHOES.

actually, frankly speaking, i dont see anything nice in that pair.
it just really gives me the impression of historical egypt people.
i see many many many many girls wearing it, some do look good in that, but some really look very very ugly in those.

these are hot.

but these are not.

see the difference?
people with long and lean legs do look good in this, but people with big calves and short legs really look ugly in them, because u are putting attention/emphasis to a flaw on ur body and making it look more attention grabbing and worst still, grabbing attention away from ur merits.

PLUS!
it's either u look terribly good in it or terribly bad in them.

so girls, before u consider getting urself a pair, think twice first.
trend is always moving and it's non-stop.
but i do agree that style is something that can stay forever long.
like ever if one fine day the gladiator shoes are so out of the trend already, as long as one looks good in it and it is able to bring out his/her style, why not?

but never follow the trend blindly, like u think ppl are looking cool and great in it, and everyone is wearing it now, so why not?
NO NO NO!
because, what looks great on others might looks sucky on you.
(what? it is said that 'one man's treasure might be another man's junk. it's da same!)

No. 2 HIGH WAIST BELT

i dont know bout u girls, but i dont think people with that bit of extra tummy should wear high waist belt.
i think the belt just emphasize pretty much on the person's flaw again.

nice nice nice!

i love high waist belts though.
sometimes it helps make my overall dressing alot nicer, just with the help of the belt. (:

No. 3 ANIMAL PRINT LEGGINGS/STOCKINGS

ugly or pretty, u decide.

how about this?hot?

again, do not wear them if u know that it will only emphasize on ur flaws!
i do see people looking already complicated with these stockings/leggings and they choose to go really over with the top of theirs.
i mean, if u wan to look exotic/complicated/different, u try to do it well, u try to look great with that style.
not trying so really hard to look ugly.
u girls know what i mean!
DONT GO SO OVER ON YOUR OUTFITS!

No. 4 BOOTS
not everyone looks good in boots.
especially when u have short calves, boots dont work for u.

because again, u are emphasizing on ur flaws.
wear flats/heels, those low cut ones.
i swear u will look alot better than in boots!

No. 5 ACCESSORIES

Big chunky necklace dont suit people with flattering chest area.
Too much emphasis is too over and UGLY.

Bling bling necklaces dont suit big sized people too.
- also not suitable with complicated tops.[big prints,flattering designs]
(will make ur body look bigger)

Chunky earrings dont suit people with big heads, small bodies.
(will make ur head look even bigger)

Patent belts are not suitable for ppl with big hips.
(will make ur hips look bigger)

Scarfs are not suitable with tops with too many/big prints.

Complicated earrrings goes well only with simpler looking tops.

that's about it.

actually, all i wanto say is that do not put emphasis on parts where not necessary and also use ur merits to cover up ur flaws.

trend is something we can follow.
or should i say, we should follow.
cos who wants to look they dont belong to this era, right?

we dont see people dressing up like cavemen/cave women.
or wearing something not suitable, not belonging to our age group or not belonging to the period we are living in.

we wanto feel and be accepted,so it is a norm that teenagers follow trends.

BUT PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW THE TREND BLINDLY.

follow when needed, and when u do not look good in that certain trendy outfit/shoewear/accessories, dont try so hard.
dump the idea of wanting to look the same like everyone else cos what is suitable for others might not suit you, and vice versa.

follow the trend,but dress like the trendy stuff flatters u, u think u look great and confident and most of all, u are happy.

go shopping with ur friends!
they might be able to help you in choosing the right items to wear and so forth.

lastly, nowadays i see many many many teenagers wearing the ELMO/SPONGEBOB/BARNEY/COOKIE MONSTER SHIRT.

it is so so so common now and when i see teenagers wearing that,i tell myself, is every teenager so typical?

see, another form of following the trend blindly.

there was once i saw a girl wearing a pair of red shorts, ~~barney shirt~~ and shutter shades with those one strap ah lian slippers.

Have you ever wonder why some girls have endless and flawless legs, and you want legs like theirs too?

I ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY LEGS.

I was once called “beef legs” by some idiots, but seriously I don’t think my legs are that bad lah.

Not self-praising here, but I’m just giving myself some justice back here.

Okay, skip this.

My point is, you know you like to wear shorts and skirts, but you also know at the same time that that wont work for you because you have flaws on ur legs, like scars and whatsoever.

this is why i'm here to present to you the amazing.....

LEG STOCKINGS GEL!

okay, i dont know the brand of the one i have, but i do know there is something similar from the brand called DODORA.
you girls can try getting that from online blogshops.
(actually all the same one lah, i mean, the function.)

this gel is for you to apply on ur legs, to help cover the flaws and scars.
the colour is also a little darker than your skin, but when applied, it blends well into ur skin, thus this also helps to achieve the long-legs-look that you craved!

i did notice some difference in my legs before and after i apply the gel.

the colour of the gel did help to darken my skin and makes my legs look slimmer!
(the darkening is not so jialat lah! just a little only, but it works okay!)

it also can help to cover the flaws rather well.

this is not really makeup lah, so dont worry.
it can be easily washed off by water and soap. (when you bathe)

although this cream/gel have totally no slimming effects, but at least when you go out, it can help you achieve the look that you want to have.
you do not need to apply alot lah, just a little, then spread it well over ur legs.

i used it since around thursday, and guess what girls, pimples on my forehead are starting to fade away!

A good bb cream! I love it cos it stays onto my skin and i didnt have to blot so much because of it's good oil control.

Also have sunscreen in it to protect my skin from the sun.
Will use a few times more and tell u girls more about it.

L'egere White Multi BB Cream

This bb cream, at first look the cream, it is really dark.
But surprisingly, it blends really well into my skin and it does covers up my flaws but at the end of the day, it leaves my skin looking rather dewy and slightly radiant. (:
This bb cream was also recommended by NRWZD Kevin, the makeup artist.
Oil control is only so-so, not very well though.
Good for bb cream starters. :D

This bb cream is more for oil control lah, so it doesnt really help to hide flaws or conceal.

and it's about CHOOSING THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES FOR THE RIGHT OUTFIT.

this is important!
sometimes our plain outfits need some chunky funky accessorise or some bling blings!
but the thing is, often, some girls DONT WEAR THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES!

it becomes like you wear accessories for the sake of wearing them, because you just wanto flaunt them.
but hey, in a WRONG WAY.

i do see a girl wearing WHITE as her main colour in her outfit, with white earrings, white bling bling necklace, white belt, white flats and a white bangle.

ALL WHITE.

I SIMPLY CANNOT STAND THAT.

you will have to find a right contrast colour to suit the whole of ur outfit!
like if u wear a pair of white shorts, wear a nice coloured tee and add on a white bangle!

i was super dupa happy when i saw this shop selling like 6 or 7 clips for like SGD2 in a packet!
YES I AM A CHEAPO, but you know the clips, they are in AMAZING RAINBOW COLOURS!
6 to 7 clips all in different colours to match my different outfits!

i love my accessories drawer so much that sometimes when i have nothing better to do, i will just open up the drawer, browse through the prettys and GRIN.

categorise them accordingly together, so they will be sorted out and not be all mixed up tgt.

SECONDLY, DO REMEMBER THAT WHAT ACCESSORIES YOU WEAR MUST MATCH WHAT YOU WEAR!

choose coordinating coloured accessories, focusing on the shirt or the pants/skirt.
the matching colours is very very important!
please do not match clashing colours together!

THIRDLY, DO NOT WEAR WHAT IS NOT NEEDED.

yes girls, excessive accessories will actually make you look like a christmas tree, not very nice yea?
like u dont wear earrings, bangles, bracelets, rings, clips, necklaces all together with just one outfit.
and worst still, if u are wearing an outfit with fancy prints or whatever you have on it, u will look like a walking accessories holder.
NOT NICE AT ALL.
what i mean here is if people were to put their attention on ur outfit, lose the necklace, wear some plain coloured bangles will do.
do not bring attention to parts where not necessary / when it is already very obviously attention seeking.

REMEMBER GIRLS.

accessories should be the things that goes well with ur outfit, things that compliment your outfit!
do not turn something beautiful to something that turns people off!

alright, since i wear bangles most often, i shall write up a little about my bangles, about how i wear them, which outfit do they compliment respectively.

NUMBER 1 - a set of bling bling bangles
> i wear it with plain tops/bottoms; tops/bottoms without patterns or prints.
> because this is very striking, i try to wear it with outfit that have dull/plain colours
> more suitable for me when i go places like town!

NUMBER 2 - a white bangle
> suitable for any top/bottom, simply because it is white!
> very nice to wear either on its own or with a black bangle for higher contrast effect
> suitable for school, for shopping, for town! :D

NUMBER 3 - a set of thin white bangles
> very easy to match too
> great for a lazy day out
> can be layered with white chunky bangle for a more complex effect if your outfit is plain/dull

NUMBER 4 - a black bangle
> good for wearing with striking coloured outfits
> black is dull, thus it brings out the radiance of the other colourful outfits
> great if layered with a white bangle for contrasting effect
> great to pair it with a thin gold bangle for that extra vintage look

NUMBER 5 - a gold bangle ; not real gold of course (all time fav)
> one of my favourite pieces
> looks really great with my black bangle, very nice vintage effect
> i just love the gold colour! :D

> great if ure wearing simple

i know vibrant and colourful colours look great, but NOT WHEN YOU OVERDO IT.

why?
because, she is wear a pair of baggy jeans, and a super tiny and short yellow tank top.
the outfit, i must say, look sucky.
(i apologise for my rudeness here, but i cant help but be honest bout it.)
okay, the outfit was still quite bearable.

WHAT I CANNOT STAND AT ALL IS HER BRA.

her tank is already so tiny and small(she is rather big sized), and she pulled her tank so low it revealed her WHOLE LACY BRA.
yes, that is why i called her the MSW(Modern SuperWoman).
a very unglam sight.

THIRDLY, NEVER WEAR THE WRONG PANTYHOSE(STH LIKE STOCKINGS).
this sucks too.
i once saw another pretty girl with good figure and endless legs but hey, take a good look, she is wearing a pantyhose.
AND THE PANTYHOSE IS DULL BEIGE IN COLOUR, WHEN HER WHOLE BODY AND FACE IS TANNED BEIGE IN COLOUR.
just look at the legs, they looked so mismatch and terrible!
so girls, PLEASE!

damn! i hate that!
i dont apply nail polish, and i do not have long and beautiful nails.
my nails are really short, because i cant keep long nails due to my commitment in music.
BUT SERIOUSLY, I HATE GIRLS WHO MAKE THE EFFORT TO APPLY BEAUTIFUL NAIL POLISH BUT COULDNT CARE LESS WHEN THEIR NAIL POLISH CHIPPED!
i think it looks really unkempt and ugly.
it turn guys off too!
if u cant make the extra effort to CARE FOR YOUR NAILS AFTER YOU BEAUTIFY THEM, then lose the beautifying part, just file your nails, cut them when needed!
it is just extra since, and it minus many many points if u are wearing a super great and nice outfit, with a nice hairdo and all dolled up but disappointingly, ugly nail polish chipped nails.

FIFTH, MATCH YOUR OUTFIT AND MAKEUP FOR THE RIGHT TIME, RIGHT DAY, AND RIGHT OCCASION.
i see girls in my school wearing beautiful makeup but dress as if they are going to the market.
"HELLO, WHAT THE HELL IS SHE THINKING?", this was what my friends and i thought.
if u are wearing very casually to school or just to somewhere nearby, just makeup very lightly and wear the right outfit!
(YOU DONT WEAR A PROM DRESS TO SCHOOL OR TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE, RIGHT?!? )
and for work, dont apply makeup with vibrant colours.
lose the colourful eyeshadows, just go plain or just some natural coloured one will do.
do not apply too much eyeliner, dont make urself look like a panda when you go to work or go to school, it leaves a real bad impression of you in others' minds.
too much blusher will make you look like an opera singer, so do not overdo it too.
dress right for the right time also.
if you are going to a party, get yourself a party dress, put on glamourous makeup!
if you are heading to school, just throw on some basic or simple makeup in your makeup stash, dress smart but not too formal or too casual, den off you go!
if you are in for work, eh... i'm not sure about this one. try googling it online, but i did heard my friend mention in class before that employees are not supposed to wear clothes that are too flashy or with too vibrant colours or too shimmery.

especially our face.(:
why do i say so?

THAT'S FOR YOU TO READ ON!

firstly, moisterisers are a mixture of oil and water. They help to attract and retain water in the outer level of our skin to give us/maintain that youthful glow!

without moisture, the skin will not remain smooth and supple.
The most exposed area of our whole body (all the time) is our face and sometimes because of weather humidity, and the drying effects of the weather, we do need to moisterise!

Ask me, does moisterising regularly actually helps?

of course!
cos it helps to prevent our skin from drying up, as we sweat and our body loses water, if our skin is dehydrated we wont have good skin!

a moisturiser is really helpful for naturally dry skins, but whatever your skin type is, a moisturiser does help to keep our skin lubricated making it soft, smooth and looking more youthful.

moisterising before applying make-up makes it much easier to apply and reduce the risk of dragging the skin, causing awful and unwanted wrinkles.

most dermatologists agree that moisturisers effectively combat skin dryness and make the skin soft and supple. :D

AND I READ ONLINE THAT MANY PEOPLE,NOT ONE OR TWO, BUT MANY, SAYING THAT THEY HAD ACNE PRONE SKIN, BUT THEY FOUND SUITABLE MOISTERISERS FOR THEIR SKIN TYPE AND THEIR ACNES HAVE NOT BEEN POPPING OUT SINCE!

well, i do see some moisterisers which have whitening effects!
i love those, not only helps ur face remain firm, supple and smooth, it also helps to make ur skin fairer and of course, ur face looks brighter and glows with beauty!

So now, what are the suitable types of moisterisers for different skin types?

NATURALLY DRY SKIN : Choose a moisturiser that is hypoallergenic (it should say so on the moisteriser itself). The best moisturisers are also the most "gooey."

NATURALLY NORMAL SKIN : Easiest to find a good moisteriser! Check out websites on reviews of different moisterisers for normal skin. Best if u go down to the shops to try the moisterisers out for yourself. (:

NATURALLY OILY SKIN : Find and oil-free moisteriser, better if it is water based! Works great for oily skin! :D

NATURALLY COMBINATION SKIN : I dunno what moisteriser to look out for, but i have combination skin too, and i am currently using NEUTROGENA'S OIL FREE MOISTERISER FOR COMBINATION SKIN. works rrly well, my skin condition improved (my bf and my mum told me so!)! I got it at John Little for around SGD18+, i dont know whether they are available at all outlets of JL, but do try ur luck k!
[cos when i got it, mine was the last bottle :x ]

NATURALLY SENSITIVE SKIN : The right moisturiser should prevent the skin from greasing and drying. If a moisteriser is suitable for sensitive skin, it should be stated on the product packaging itself. Should any product causes stinging or irritation to ur skin, discontinue use.

[HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FACE CARE ROUTINE]
1. CLEANSING

Squeeze a little face cleansing cream/foam/whatever-it-is into the palm of one hand and dab it generously over the nose, chin, forehead and cheeks - using two fingers of the other hand.
Massage the cream into the skin, starting under the throat, using a gentle upward motion.
Continue massaging the cream/foam/whatever up to the forehead, using the fingertips.
Gently massage the cream/foam/whatever from the eyes to the nose.
Massage cream back over the chin and nose, which is particularly prone to blackheads.
Use the index finger to do so!
Remove the cream/foam/whatever from the face with tissue pads in each hand.
Start under the chin and work over the cheeks, the nose and on to the forehead.

2. TONING
Toners remove all traces of dirt, make-up or cleanser that remain after cleansing.

Pour the toner onto a piece of cotton wool and dab it over your face gently.
Pat dry if necessary!

3. MOISTURIZING

Using the tips of the fingers, dot moisturising cream lightly all over the face.
[DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH OR MOISTERISER MIGHT CLOG PORES, CAUSING ACNE AND PIMPLES!)
Press the fingers of both hands into the centre of the forehead and work the cream slowly outwards.
Pat the cream gently around the eyes.
(the skin around our eyes are the most delicate! also needs alot of moisture!)
Massage the moisteriser over the throat with alternating hands, using upward strokes from collar-bone to chin.

today is all about dieting healthily!
like i said, if u think i'm fat, close this window then.
it ain't gonna help u anyway! :D

right, let's start!

firstly, we will talk about the top 8 tips of eating well! (:

1. Base your meals on starchy foods
- Starchy foods such as bread, cereals, rice, pasta and potatoes are a really important part of a healthy diet.
- Try to choose wholegrain varieties of starchy foods whenever you can.
- Starchy foods should make up about a third of the food we eat.
- They are a good source of energy and the main source of a range of nutrients in our diet.

2. Eat lots of fruit and veg
- Try to eat at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and veg every day.
- Add up your portions throughout the day
e.g
.a glass of juice and a sliced banana with your cereal at breakfast
.a side salad at lunch
.a pear as an afternoon snack
.a portion of peas or other vegetables with your evening meal
- You can choose from fresh, frozen, tinned, dried or juiced, but remember potatoes count as a starchy food, not as portions of fruit and veg.

3. Eat more fish
- Most of us should be eating more fish ; including a portion of oily fish each week.
- It's an excellent source of protein and contains many vitamins and minerals.
- Aim for at least two portions of fish a week, including a portion of oily fish.
- You can choose from fresh, frozen or canned ; but remember that canned and smoked fish can be high in salt.

4. Cut down on saturated fat and sugar
- To stay healthy we need some fat in our diets.
- What is important is the kind of fat we are eating.
- There are two main types of fat:
. saturated fat : having too much can increase the amount of cholesterol in the blood, which increases the chance of developing heart disease
. unsaturated fat : having unsaturated fat instead of saturated fat lowers blood cholesterol
- Try to cut down on food that is high in saturated fat and have foods that are rich in unsaturated fat instead, such as vegetable oils (including sunflower, rapeseed and olive oil), oily fish, avocados, nuts and seeds.

FOODS HIGH IN SATURATED FATS
` meat pies, sausages, meat with visible white fat
` hard cheese
` butter and lard
` pastry
` cakes and biscuits
` cream, soured cream and crème fraîche
` coconut oil, coconut cream or palm oil

We should also try to cut down on our sugar intake everyday!
(Does not apply one fruits, because they are naturally sweet! :D)

5. Try to eat less salt (no more than 6g a day)
- Three-quarters (75%) of the salt we eat is already in the food we buy, such as breakfast cereals, soups, sauces and ready meals.
- So you could easily be eating too much salt without realising it.
- Eating too much salt can raise your blood pressure.
- And people with high blood pressure are three times more likely to develop heart disease or have a stroke than people with normal blood pressure.
- Remember that the amount you eat of a particular food affects how much salt you will get from it.

6. Get active and try to be at a healthy weight
- If you're worried about your weight, ask your family doctor or a dietitian for advice.
- But if you think you just need to lose a little weight, the main things to remember are:
.only eat as much food as you need
.make healthy choices ; it's a good idea to choose low-fat and low-sugar varieties
.eat plenty of fruit and veg and wholegrains
.get more active
- Physical activity is a good way of using up extra calories, and helps control our weight.
- Just try to get active every day and build up the amount you do.
- For example, you could try to fit in as much walking as you can into your daily routine. Try to walk at a good pace.
- Whenever we eat more than our body needs, we put on weight.
- This is because we store any energy we don't use up ; usually as fat.
- Even small amounts of extra energy each day can lead to weight gain.
- Crash diets aren't good for your health and they don't work in the longer term.
- The way to reach a healthy weight and stay there ; you are to change your lifestyle gradually.
- Aim to lose about 0.5 to 1kg a week, until you reach a healthy weight for your height.

7. Drink plenty of water
- We should be drinking about 6 to 8 glasses of water, or other fluids, every day to stop us getting dehydrated.
- When the weather is warm or when we get active, our bodies need more water.
- BUT PLEASE DO AVOID DRINK SOFT AND FIZZY DRINK AS THEY ARE VERY HIGH IN ADDED SUGAR!!

if u rrly have to go to fastfoods restaurants (be it peer pressure or u cant succumb to the temptation), u can have all the fries u wan, but please change ur fizzy drinks to something else! maybe hot tea or iced tea.

psst! tea leaves help to neutralise the oil and fats from the fast foods u take in!

ohoh! and try not to drink alcohol.
it's not good for ur body, and i mean it!
read this!

8. Don't skip breakfast
- Breakfast can help give us the energy we need to face the day, as well as some of the vitamins and minerals we need for good health.
- Some people skip breakfast because they think it will help them lose weight.
- HELL NO, AND NEVER EVER! Missing meals doesn't help us lose weight and it isn't good for us, because we can miss out on essential nutrients.
- There is some evidence to suggest that eating breakfast can actually help people control their weight.
- So why not go for a bowl of wholegrain cereal with some sliced banana and a glass of fruit juice for a healthy start to the day? :D

How to be a healthy weight
If you have any concerns about your weight, contact your family doctor or a dietitian.
If you think you just need to lose a little weight, here are some practical tips.
Whenever we eat more than our body needs, we put on weight.
This is because the energy we don't use up is stored in our body, usually as fat. Even small amounts of surplus energy each day can lead to weight gain.

So if you want to lose some weight, you might want to look at ways of:
- making sure you only eat as much food as you need
- improving the balance of your diet
- getting more active

`Getting the balance right
It's not a good idea to go on a crash diet and it's important to make sure you continue to eat a balanced diet.
Otherwise you might not be getting all the nutrients you need to keep your body healthy.

When you're trying to make a healthy choice, for most people, the aim should be to:
+ cut down on fat – especially saturates
+ eat more fruit and vegetables
+ eat more starchy foods such as bread, pasta and rice
+ cut down on salt and sugar

Fruits and vegs should make up a third of the food you eat.

Aim to eat at least five portions of fruit and veg every day.

.choose lower-fat varieties of dairy foods such as semi-skimmed or skimmed milk
.reduced-fat cheese, lower-fat yoghurts

`Getting physical
Physical activity is a good way of using up extra calories, and helps us to maintain our body weight.
It's a good idea to get active each day, but you don't need to join a gym to do this.

Here are some suggestions of activities that will help you to burn off excess energy.

You could:
- go for a walk after lunch
- choose the stairs instead of taking the lift
- walk (or even jog) some of your shorter journeys
- get off the bus one or two stops earlier

dun be lazy lah, okay!
there is NO SHORTCUTS for u if u wanto slim down.
follow these, get active and lose the fats.

i have stairs at home, and i climb up everyday, so it doesnt rrly matter to me!
try it girls, it should help, especially when u are to eating healthily, it's already a great start.
i have fresh fruit juices every single day in the morning, and eat at least afruit ever single day too!
i hate fizzy drinks and sugary drinks, as they are rrly rrly bad for ur health!
i also try to avoid fastfoods unless for social purposes, like gathering with friends etc.
Skip the fried foods too.
NO FRIED CHICKEN WINGS, WEDGES, FRIES, OILY STUFF.
NO NO NO if u wanto slim down!
consume more soup dishes! (:
if u are afraid that u will grow fat because of starchy foods, dun eat rice too!
eat porridge instead! they can keep u full but are not so filling because they are a mixture of rice and water!
yummy. :D

hi all!

i have some readers asking me which fake eyelash is better.
for me, well, O2 skin ones worked best for me, as i like the bone of the eyelash most, cos it's rather versatile, and it sticks on well on my lids, and are easily removable.

however, i dun rrly encourage fake eyelashes.

i do have some friends wearing fake eyelashes all the time, and they have so many pairs at home.
for me, i only have 2 pairs.

why?
because, if u always put on fake eyelashes, in no time u will have droopy eyelids.
I'M SERIOUS!
cos the skin around our eyes area is most delicate, and if we always have the fake eyelashes on, the weight will be acting on our eyelids and thus resulting in droopy eyelids.

so unless u have important dates or occasions, dun put fake eyelashes so often k!

it does work and i love it so super much that i wanto restock it, but my bf forbade me to do so, cos FACE SHOP is not closing down [any soon now] anyway.
so yea, what does this thing do?

A base for the mascara to build thicker and longer lashes.

yet another thing to recommend u all.
or rather, another thing to NOT recommend u girls.
aiya, both lah!

okok, here goes.
i wanted to get eyeliner, so i tried 2 different kinds,so i will noe what to get in the future.
(:
so i saw this "very well known" CHARMING CAT EYELINER online.

This eyeliner contains natural ingredients, is waterproof and fast drying. It will not smudge even when sweating, swimming or crying!
Easy application pointed tip is good for beginners.

this is wad it says.
okay, so i stupidly believed it and i got myself one.

i didnt get to try it until like a week later.
and the day after i got the charming cat one, i wento john little to get the BOURJOIS LINER CLUBBING BLACK EYELINER.
took a look at the sample, love it, and bought it too.

i didnt wanto waste the charming cat eyeliner, so i started wearing it first.
at first everything was fine.
but on the 2nd day, i started to hate it.
the eyeliner really didnt smudge and it's fast drying.
but what sucks big time was that it flakes after a long day and not exactly is waterproof.
and the eyeliner flakes got into my eyes and it hurts a alot!
i started to hate it alr, and i dumb it in somewhere-i-cant-see place in my cupboard.

and about the BOURJOIS LINER CLUBBING eyeliner.
it lasts all day long, stays firm, no smudges, is waterproof but however, it is slow drying.
but then, to curb the problem, i always blowdry my eyes with the hairdryer after the eyeliner application.
it's not exactly blowdrying it like blowdrying ur hair.
i keep a distance away from my eyes so it doesnt hurt.
best is if u use cold dry mode of ur hairdryer to dry the application. (:

i noe the price of the charming cat eyeliner is cheap.
and the bourjois one is ex.
but sometimes quality do counts okay.
the price is worth it for this time.

Hi all.

Another product to introduce to u girls.

It’s the very popular Dainty masks these days.

They are to be used only once, to be put on for 30 mins to 1 hour, according to ur preference.
They have different “flavours” and types for these, but I have only used those [in the picture] up to date.

When applied on, there is a very cooling effect on ur face.
You will feel as if the ‘nutrients’ provided by the mask is acting on ur skin.

At first I didn’t rrly believe that it’ll help, so I didn’t buy any.
My friend then recommended me and gave me ten pieces to try.

Tried and love it! So I bought more and now I’m doing my “facials” at home every week.

A VERY GOOD PRODUCT.

it is the E.L.F eyelash curler.
it is recommended by many people, including some bloggers i've seen while i was blog-hopping.

i always had problems finding a good eyelash curler, despite using a good mascara.
my old eyelash curler was rrly crappy, i mean, it's those type when u try to curl it will crumple all ur lashes together.
and i always have problems applying on mascara AFTER i curl my eyelashes.
ironic eh?
it should help my lashes look better!

initially i bought the SHISEIDO EYELASH CURLER, as i was like "wah, shiseido leh! sure v good one!"
yep.
the normal thinking, EXPENSIVE MEANS GOOD.
a big big NO-NO.
i didnt like the eyelash curler, because it dun have springs in the eyelash curler.

and when i was blog-shopping online last week, i saw the E.L.F eyelash curler.
i searched online for more reviews on it, and i was pretty amazed that many people were pretty satisfied with it.
so i decided to buy one to try.

hi all.

today i will not introduce any products, but there are some beauty tips i wanto share with every one of u.(:

one question first.

Any of u girls often wear makeup?
and if u girls do, is ur face more prone to breakouts?

i used to makeup, but i stopped recently because i read on books that makeup for young skin is no good!

now if u girls love mascara, eyeliner, it's fine.
but it's not encouraged u wear makeup often, especially foundation or blusher.
often, if u have breakouts, wearing makeup can cause it to be worst because it clogs ur pores and formation of dirt happens.
this results in blackheads, pimples and even acnes!
argh!

for now, because i dun wanto leave my house with a bare face, i wear sunscreen and tinted moisteriser.
it works well because the sunscreen protects my skin from the UV rays,and the tinted moisteriser give me sheer, light and slight coverage on my face!
no blusher, powder, foundation or wadever.
fresh face feeling!
i also do apply eyeliner and mascara to take away attention from my eye circles when i sleep late at night sometimes.
:D
work wonders!

i'm not saying makeup is bad for everyone, some people may have perfect skin and makeup dun cause any effects to them.
for those who wish to heed my advice, u do not need to throw away ur makeup.
place them in a box and use them for parties/performances/clubbing/whatever!
:D

one thing!
when u choose a tinted moisteriser, choose the right one!
i'm using the ZA tinted moisteriser, tone 10 and 20 mixed together to get my skin tone colour.
choose the right tone okay!
light tone will make the flaws on ur face more noticeable, esp dark eye circles!
dark tone will more dark eye circles more noticeable too!:S
i use ZA ones because it has a special formula which will not clog my pores.
:D

also, do drink sufficient water and it helps to detoxify ur body, and u'll have clearer skin!
eat more fruits too!
i drink fruit juices everyday,and i love orange and watermelon juice the most!
fruits give us the vitamins and the nutrients we need, and the best is it helps in clearing ur skin too! :D
remember, its FRUIT JUICE, WITHOUT SYRUP OR ICE! PURE FRUIT JUICES BLENDED RIGHT IN FRONT OF UR EYES, not those packaging ones from the supermarket!
and milkshakes or ice blended with syrups dont do either.

and one last thing.
do buy urself a good oil blotter!
it helps alot, removing unnecessary and dirty oil from ur face caused by our surroundings.
i use CLEAN AND CLEAR ones, and they are great and one packet can last me up to a month and a half or so. :D

here to introduce yet another special and nice product!
it's the Care Pre-makeup Cream introduced by 女人我最大!

i use it for performances and special night-outs, for my makeup to stay on longer!
it's great, because it is oil-free and has a silky feel when applied, helps to controls oil and hides imperfections all day.
it contains micro-powder and licorice extract, making it easier to apply foundations as your face feels smooth and foundations can be spread so easily and evenly!

very good product, and my face still feels silky smooth after a long day; no worries about oily or shiny complexion.
it has a heavenly nice smell too.

how to apply?
1. Wash ur face with cleansing foam, apply toner and moisteriser.
2. Squeeze one/two drop of Care pre-makeup cream onto palm and use finger to spread evenly onto face.
3. After cream is absorbed in around ten seconds, continue with ur makeup routine.
4. The cream will help in moisturizing and matte the oily areas giving you a perfect base for your make-up to glide on smoothly.

Do try this product girls.
Especially better for those who don't makeup often because this bottle is rrly tiny and use a drop or two each time u do ur makeup.
Works wonders for those who makeup for occasions/parties for a beautiful finish!
Daily application is not encouraged, unless u wanto buy many bottles luh! :D

this product is easy to use and very useful too!

i've tried and used this product.
super duper good.

it's like a jelly form, and u need to put it under ur eyes for it to work.
however, dun put on for more than 12 hours [beware when u sleep, maybe wake up before 12 hour reaches? ]
i tried it for a week and i can see slight results.
my eye bags are not so heavy anymore and the feeling of them on my eyes is rrly good when i have them on.

i've got another recommendation.
it's the I'AMOUR EYELASH TONIC.
it's also recommended by celebrity VIVIAN HSU, and girls, aren't u all envious of her beautiful and long lashes?

this product is very good, and i've 2 bottles of it at home.
i use to think i have short eyelashes, and i've always wanted longer ones.
one day while i was shopping online i saw this and i immediately bought two.
i admit i was kiasu, thinking what if the one i used ran out?
so i bought two.
at first i tried and i thought it wont rrly help that much.
but after using it for 2 weeks, i see results.
my lashes are fairly longer and there's more volume to it, cos it also aids the growing of lashes.
i've been using the product for around 1 month now, and i love my lashes.
i've no problem clipping my lashes now with the eyelash curler, and i love it.

however, pls use it daily for better effects luh.
i use it twice a day.
once in the morning, once in the night before i sleep.
if u girls wear mascara, it's great if u apply it first before applying mascara, as it helps to protect ur lashes, making them stronger.

i bought one at SGD7 online.
u all might wanto go search on it online, for the reviews and stuff lah.
it's rrly great, so do try it girls.

Q : How to apply that on my lashes?

i've got sth to introduce to u guys today.

it is the EPI STICK FACIAL HAIR REMOVER.
it totally rocks i tell u guys.
it looks like a giant cotton bud.
i mean, the shape luh.
but it is made of plastic and metal.
the plastic part is the two ends, and the metal part is the middle.

question : what is it used for?
it is used for removing facial hairs!
no blades, waxing or what so ever, just pure twisting and turning and the hair comes out!
something like those traditional threading method, but this is more D.I.Y type luh.
not bad i must say.
requires some practice, but after awhile, u'll find it rrly works!

how to use it?
just curl it like a inverted "U", and rotate the plastic ends.
twist and turn here and there and the hair comes out.
slightly painful and tickling, but it removes the hair from the roots okay!
